This in-person workshop is geared towards people who want an intro to leather know-how to add to their crafty arsenal, desire to add leather details to their projects like fabric totes, clutches, or cosplay costumes, or want to get into leather crafting but don’t want a workshop with a finished project. This workshop does not have a finished project and is purely a hands-on skills class.

How to cut leather
Edge finishing and burnishing
Basics of hand stitching
Basics of how to select and set hardware

Chicago screws
collar buttons

Basics of tool selection, safety, and use
You do not need to provide any tools or supplies; however, if you have any tools or supplies and you have questions about them, please bring them to class. There will also be time for individual questions about your specific projects and needs.
Disclaimers and information:This workshop includes hammering with mallets and may not be appropriate for people with sensitivities to noise. Workshop tickets are non-refundable, however they are transferrable and you can gift or sell your ticket to someone else if you cannot make it to the class. Students who appear intoxicated will not be allowed to participate in classes and will not be given a refund. Light snacks and water/sodas will be provided and there are a number of nearby restaurants for a lunch break if desired.
